Phillip Island
This sparkling little gem of an island is loved for its world famous Penguin Parade, its great natural beauty, abundant wildlife, laid-back seaside villages, family activities and the thrilling motor cycle Grand Prix circuit.
The nightly Penguin Parade, when up to 1000 Little Penguins march from the sea to their sand dune burrows, is undoubtedly the main attraction. But Phillip Island is a top spot to see seals and koalas close up, and walk amid birdlife in tranquil wetlands and woodlands.
There’s lots of fun too, with a delectable chocolate factory, a trout and bush tucker farm, an amazing fun park, and the Grand Prix circuit where you can whizz around a replica circuit in go-karts or play on the Grand Prix slot car track.
The heritage farm on Churchill Island is a special drawcard, with its daily cow milking, blacksmithing, sheep shearing, working dog demonstrations and a nursery with cute baby animals.
