About The Role: Are you eager to join our passionate front of house team as we gear up for the summer peak season, serving up menu magic across all aspects of our hospitality operations?

We are seeking friendly, well-presented and self-motivated individuals with a passion for customer service to deliver memorable experiences across various settings - including our bustling restaurants, bars, kiosks, conference and event spaces, and aboard the iconic Queenscliff-Sorrento ferry.  

What you'll be doing:

  • Greeting and serving customers, providing menu information, addressing their needs

  • Taking orders and using point of sale systems

  • Providing bar service / wine & beer pairings and making coffees

  • Maintaining clean customer facilities

  • Performing daily opening and closing procedures including cash and EFTPOS reconciliations

  • Answering incoming phone calls and entering reservations

  • Sales, e.g. menu specials and retail add-ons

  • Maintaining food and beverage cabinets including stock rotation

  • Basic food prep (e.g. when working aboard vessels and within kiosks)

  • Assisting with event operations set up      

About You: To thrive here, you'll need...

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Current RSA certification or willingness to obtain it

  • Barista skills or eagerness to learn

  • Professional grooming and appearance

  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Flexibility to work peak times, including weekends, school holidays, public holidays and festive seasons

  • Willingness to work breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts

  • Positive attitude, team spirit, and enthusiasm

  • Wine and bar knowledge is a plus but not essential

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing and presenting dishes to the highest standards

  • Using the latest commercial pizza making equipment

  • Contributing to menu development and event planning

  • Ordering and checking quality of produce

  • Maintaining inventory and storage of ingredients

About You: To thrive here, you'll need:

  • Prior experience as a Commis Chef, Chef de Partie or similar in a high-standard culinary setting

  • Knowledge of Italian, European, and Southern Mediterranean cuisines

  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing and cooking a variety of Mediterranean dishes, including pizzas, pastas and small plates

  • Ability to manage ordering and oversee quality control of fresh produce

  • Certificate Level III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

We're looking for an experienced, talented Venue Manager to lead front-of-house operations across these multiple outlets.

About the role

As Venue Manager, you will be instrumental in the successful launch and ongoing operation of our new Sorrento venue. You will be responsible for:

·       managing daily operations across multiple food and beverage outlets

·       building and leading the front of house team, shaping a venue that's sure to become a destination

·       ensuring exceptional customer service and memorable experiences

·       maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and compliance

·       contributing to the venue's financial performance and profitability.

About you

To thrive in this role, you will:

·       Lead with proven experience as a Venue Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry, showcasing your success in a fast-paced environment.

·       Master front of house operations by demonstrating your thorough knowledge of food and beverage service, and exceptional customer relations.

·       Develop thoughtful staff scheduling (rosters) to ensure seamless customer experiences and smooth venue operations.
