A few reasons to add the Ferry to your next adventure:

  • Shortcut around the Bay – The 40-minute ferry trip between Queenscliff and Sorrento saves you a 3-and-a-half drive around the Bay.
  • Avoid city traffic – There seem to be roadworks everywhere. Catching the Ferry across the Bay means avoiding Melbourne traffic jams and further road delays.

  • Relax with a proper coffee – Our onboard baristas can make you the perfect coffee to kick start your day or revitalize your afternoon.

  • Kids can play – In addition to ample outdoor viewing decks, our indoor lounge has a kids' playground resulting in far less "Are we there yet?" moments on your next road trip.

  • Spot dolphins – Port Phillip is home to the unique Burranan Dolphins. These bottlenose dolphins love swimming and playing in the wake of the Ferry. Giving commuters an up close and personal nature show on many crossings.

  • Get off the road - Spend more time out of the car than in it. Road trips should be fun for everyone, including the driver. Let us take the wheel and drive you.

  • Fresh air – The air is different out on the Bay. It's cleaner, fresher and a little saltier. The top deck of the Ferry is the ideal vantage point to let the sea breeze caress your face and refresh your soul.

  • Learn about the Bay – Onboard the Ferry, check out our interactive touchscreen Bay maps where you can learn about the Bay wildlife and coastal history. Or listen to our audio tour podcast here.

  • Jump in a massage chair – A bit tight from a long drive, make sure you jump in our massage chairs in the comfortable lounge to loosen up before hitting the road again.

  • Easy drive on, drive off – No turning or reversing! Our Ferries are roll-on, roll-off vessels. Meaning you go in one end and drive out the other, Easy as!

  • Enjoy a local beer – We are proud to stock some fantastic locally crafted ales from specialty breweries on both sides of the Bay.

  • Water therapy – There is something about the calming effect of the gentle rock and soft clap of the waves underneath the boat. It soothes the soul.

  • Create memories – For many, taking a car on the Ferry is a truly unique experience and one that will stay with you long after your journey.

  • Explore two notable regions – We are fortunate to connect two breathtaking regions: Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula and Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula. Both areas have so much to offer.

  • Beautiful scenery - You won't find better views than you will on the Ferry. Panoramic, 360-degree vistas will provide a uniquely stunning backdrop for every crossing.

  • Take the caravan – Our large ferries can accommodate vehicles of all shapes and sizes, meaning you and the Van can easily get to the next campsite.

  • Pets travel FREE – We know you love your fur babies, and so do we. They are more than welcome to travel on board and may even get a treat at the ticketing window from our staff.

  • It's not just a commute; it's an experience – While we are in the business of transporting our guests, we also want to provide an adventure, so our service prides itself on being more than just a Ferry ride. Click here to see what to expect.

  • 22. Safe & Reliable – Operating for over 35 years, we are incredibly proud of our record in safety and reliability. We are a service you can trust.

  • Enjoy a local Wine – The Mornington Peninsula and Bellarine Peninsula are no strangers to world-class wineries. We are happy to partner with some of the best, allowing you to taste the regions on board.

  • Lovely staff – Our staff honestly do go above and beyond and pride themselves on making you feel welcome when you travel on board the Ferry.

  • Millions of passengers can't be wrong – Millions and millions of passengers and crossings over our 35 years mean we must be doing something right.
