The stunning new Queenscliff Ferry Terminal has been recognised on the world stage taking home a prestigious international architectural award – The Architectural Masterprize. To top things off, the official architectural photographer was also awarded a top gong for Architecture Masterprize Photography.

Designed by F2 Architects the building was officially opened in April 2023.  Sitting against the superlative natural backdrop of Port Phillip Bay the structure is completely defined by its environment. The internal fit out is high on quality and detail with a sophisticated coastal feel and glimpses of the bay are framed by the curve of the building. Offering  a range of spaces, including a cafe, passenger lounge, retail store, and event spaces, all designed to provide a sensory journey that reflects the environment around us.

Passenger Lounge & Bar

Our Passenger Lounge & Bar located on the first floor with stunning views across the bay. Immerse yourself in our tranquil ambiance, as you indulge in delicious food and refreshing beverages. Grab a coffee, wine or light refreshment whilst waiting to board Searoad Ferries.

Gangway

The passenger gangway offers easy accessibility for a seamless connection to the ferry's lounge deck. The gangway ensures a smooth and hassle-free boarding and disembarking experience.

Surf & Travel Store

Queenscliff Ferry Terminal’s surf & travel store is built for locals, day-trippers and ferry travellers who want a little style, a little sun sense, and a lot of practicality.

Dining

TARRA Queenscliff, a beachfront dining experience at an iconic coastal location. TARRA's carefully curated menu weaves cultural traditions with culinary innovation, pushing boundaries in each creation. The menu embraces a range of flavours with seasonal, locally-sourced, and hand-foraged ingredients. Allow time to dine before or after ferry travel or make it the destination in itself.  Open every day 8am - 11am for breakfast and 12pm - 3pm for lunch.

Simple and enjoyable process
Really enjoyed taking the ferry. Not very busy, easy to get on and off with car and nice ship. Comfortable lounge and even had a sandwich. Really like the driving it saved us. Put us in great shape for starting the Great Ocean Road.

Why would you bother driving through all that city traffic when you can just hop aboard the ferry to get from one side of the bay to the other?
Excellent way to cross the bay
We took the car over the bay. What an easy trip. No need to book. Boat is in excellent condition and crew were great. High recommended.
