Hire Details
Catch the 45 minute ferry from Queenscliff to the Sorrento Ferry Terminal and pick up your E-bike from the Bayplay staff member waiting there for you. They will give you a briefing, map, bike, helmet and bike lock before you depart, this will allow you to enjoying the scenery at your own pace. Once at the entrance of Point Nepean National Park begin your round trip journeying up to the furthest Point of the Peninsula. Be sure to stop at places like Quarantine Station, Observatory Point, Cheviot Hill, Harold Holt Memorial lookout, Eagles Next and discover the underground fortress of Fort Nepean.
AGE RESTRICTION: E-BIKE RIDERS MUST BE 15 YRS AND OLDER. Participants aged 15 - 17 year old must be accompanied by an adult. These bikes can be dangerous, if used unsafely.
Duration:
The ride from the Sorrento Ferry Terminal to Fort Nepean (furthest point in the National Park) is 34km round trip. Your hire is for 4 and 1/2 hours, which is more than enough time to ride around, check out the views, discover the history of the area and stop for lunch or early dinner before needing to get back for your scheduled ferry to Queenscliff.
Hire Times:
We have a strict pick up and drop off time. Please ensure you have allocated enough time to make your scheduled ferry. In the circumstance of a late arrival or no show, the booking will not be rescheduled or refunded. Please see our terms and conditions on our Bayplay website.
Pick Up and Drop off times:
Arrive at Queenscliff Ferry Terminal - 11:45am
Ferry departs: 12:00pm
Pick up: 1:00pm
Drop off: 5:30pm
Ferry Depart from Sorrento: 6:00pm

What to Bring & Wear:
Your ID and Ferry ticket
We recommend bring a backpack for personal items – cameras, mobile phones, sunscreen, water, snacks etc.
A hat, sunglasses, comfortable clothes for riding and enclosed shoes are recommended.
Participants Conditions:
This a self-guided experience, there is no guide with you. It is recommended that participants are confident riding on a bike before booking, riding an E-bike is the same as riding a normal bike except with motor assistance when pedalling. If you are not confident, we suggest booking a tour with a guide to come with you. Please let us know if this is your first time riding an E-bike so we can ensure you have a good understanding of how they work before you depart.
